My name is Oliver Wright. I’m a partner in DigiClear Hearing. We’re a father and son business. I’ve worked with my dad for over 20 years now. We’ve got three centers on based here in Chingford. My dad’s main practice is in Hornchurch, and we’ve got a center that we run between us in Bishops Stortford. We’re an independent service. So we use seven of the main manufacturers on a regular basis, and we’re part of a network called Independent Hearing Professionals that helps us to compete on price, but at the same time maintaining our independence.

We try and treat each client as if they were a family member. And that approach has meant that me and dad have been in business for over 20 years now, successfully with many happy clients. We opened our first center in 1999 from our family home in Hornchurch. We moved premises a couple of times as business built up, and in 1997 we moved into our current premises in Westland Avenue. At our Hornchurch center, we offer industry-leading hearing assessments and a wide range of invisible and high technology hearing systems. We also offer a safe and efficient micro-suction earwax removal service.

We set up our second practice Chingford in 2001. We were actually told about this center by one of our clients who was driving over to the Hornchurch office, and she told us about how her dentist was looking to rent out a room and build on their practice. So we’ve been renting this consulting room for 15 years now. Over that period of time, we’ve built up a very loyal client base that managed to keep us busy on a regular basis. At our center in Chingford we do state-of-the-art hearing assessments.

We fit the widest range of digital technology. We fit invisible hearing aids including Phonak Lyric, which is the only 100% invisible, 24/7 hearing system on the market. We’ve got a very busy earwax removal program and we also do quite a lot of tinnitus management. In February 2016, we opened our third center in Bishops Stortford. My father and I run the Bishop’s Stortford together, and it’s really nice to be working together again from the same center. It’s like going back in time, 20 years.

About Us DigiClear Hearing

‘I started out practicing as Hornchurch Hearing Aid Centre in 1992. In 1996 when my son Oliver joined the family business – just as digital technology was also entering the market – DigiClear Hearing Aids was born.’ – Allan

‘I’ve been a hearing aid audiologist for 20 years now, and over that time you could probably say I’ve seen it all. I enjoy meeting people for the first time and getting to know them; my specific aim is to find out about how hearing loss effects people’s lives and relationships, and to make plans with them to take back control.’ – Oliver
