Oliver Joined the family business straight from school in 1995, and remains one of the youngest people to ever qualify as a Hearing Aid Dispenser in 1997. Over the years, Oliver has always had a dual role within the family business; being a patient-facing audiologist, as well as running the business with his father. Oliver works primarily from our Chingford clinic and is one of the UK’s few Phonak Lyric fitters, so he’s regularly approached by hearing aid manufacturers to take part in focus groups to help mould the future of hearing care.
Oliver’s favourite thing about his job is how rewarding it can be. He loves being able to build relationships with his clients and help them to have better communication and relationships through good hearing. Oliver has learned a lot, not just about hearing loss and hearing technology but about the impact hearing loss can have on people, relationships, and quality of life.
Outside of the clinics, Oliver spends most of his time with his wife, Fleur and his five children. He loves going on walks together, playing basketball, and going to London to watch the London Lions play at the Olympic Park. Oliver also loves fitness and CrossFit training, cooking, and watching TV with his wife.
Oliver’s advice for someone hesitant to seek help for hearing loss is, “The vast majority of people we fit love their devices and describe them as life changing. Trust us and go for it!”
Bev joined Oliver at DigiClear Chingford in 2015 as bookkeeper, and is now Practice Manager at our Chingford clinic. Bev first visited DigiClear as a client in 2005; as a hearing aid wearer, and so brings a wealth of experience to the team. When asked what she likes most about her work with us, she said “space and time to develop relationships with clients, at the level they want”.
Bev had a desire to be in a career where she can give people the time necessary to provide the best possible service in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. She describes the atmosphere in our clinic as friendly, calm and helpful. Bev’s best advice for those suffering with hearing loss is, ‘Keep up with your appointments and don’t leave it too late.’
In her spare time, Bev looks after her two small grandchildren with her husband but also enjoys yoga, walking, sewing, and spending time with family and friends. A fun fact about Bev is that she was on ‘Blankety Blank’ with Terry Wogan!
Allan started his hearing aid service from the family home in Hornchurch in 1988. He has seen the business grow over the years to the size it is now, with the focus always being to treat our clients as though they were a family member.
Lynne was the first person to join our team in Bishop’s Stortford when we opened in 2016. Lynne takes on the role of Practice Manager, and has previous experience in pharmacies and the NHS. Her favourite part of herrole is seeing the difference hearing aids make to people’s lives, and being able to meet so many different people on a daily basis. Lynne describes our team as being efficient, professional and friendly.
Outside of the clinic, Lynne spends a lot of time with her four children and two grandchildren. She likes gardening, swimming, visiting museums and spending time with loved ones. Lynne loves red velvet cake and going on holiday to Turks and Caicos, the Caribbean or Dubai.
Lynne’s best bit of advice for those hesitant to seek help for hearing issues is “Just do it! It will change your life!”.
Outside of the clinic, Lauren spends a lot of time with family, friends and her two labradors called Harley and Nyah. She regularly visits the seaside for long walks along the beach and sand dunes, and to take the dogs for a swim. Lauren also has an interest in cars and racing, and follows Formula 1 all year round.
Lauren’s best bit of advice for anyone hesitant about seeking help for hearing issues is, “Have your hearing checked regularly. It’s best not to leave hearing issues to persist for long to avoid it getting worse”.
Karen's Role is as the General Manager, overseeing both Digiclear and County Hearing. She works out of our Chingford practice offering support to the daily audiology clinic and the smooth running of all the administrations services. She brings positive energy, passion and enthusiasm to the team and truly loves her role.
Karen has had a varied career making an impact in the Travel/Recruitment industry before moving into hospitality, where she owned her own restaurant in the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds. During the early part of the pandemic Karen joined the team at St Elizabeths in Much Hadham where she ticked off a bucket list dream of working for a charity.
Karen has two grown-up children, two grandchildren and a puppy Cockador called Freddie. Returning to the family business of
Digiclear and County means she can continue with her passion of helping us deliver the very best care to our growing and loyal customers
Jas has a keen interest in diagnostic testing and hearing aid fitting from a range of hearing aid manufacturers, including the Lyric Extended Wear device. We are confident that the high level of experience Jas brings to our team will really help us to continue offering the best service we can and take care of your needs.
Jas' favourite part of being an Audiologist is seeing a client for the first time and beginning their journey to improving their hearing - "I love seeing how the problems customers initially come in with start to go away over time and how this improves their relationships and their confidence".
In her spare time, Jas enjoys keeping fit and regularly attends the gym. Jas has also participated in many fun runs, including Tough Mudder!
