I started out practicing as Hornchurch Hearing Aid Centre in 1992. In 1996 when my son Oliver joined the family business – just as digital technology was also entering the market – DigiClear Hearing Aids was born. Our centre in Westland Avenue was the first full centre we opened in 1998. Over the years we have had the pleasure of seeing many people locally, and we look forward to seeing many more in the future as we continue to develop and expand our practice and services. I’d like to introduce you to two of our valued team who, alongside myself, look forward to welcoming you to our centre:
Hi – I’m Kim. I started working with DigiClear in October 2013 at the Hornchurch branch, with Allan.
I started my career as an illustrator and signwriter, but met Allan and Christine when I was running the café next door to the practice – we’d been talking about my experiences when I managed my partner’s business, and Allan felt my knowledge and character would be a good ‘fit’ with DigiClear.
I have two sons and two granddaughters; these, plus a couple of dogs and some parrots keep home pretty busy. Life is pretty hectic, as you can imagine, and coming to work makes a welcome change. Weekends usually find me at the side of a freezing cold hockey pitch. I no longer play, but both my sons do – one umpiring, one playing; that can make for an interesting game!
I greatly enjoy working at Hornchurch, our customers make work a pleasure. I’ve learned so much from Allan (I’d better say Oliver too, just in case he reads this!), and I recently qualified in the gentle art of taking ear impressions, also carrying out outer ear canal examinations (Otoscopies).
I’m looking forward to developing DigiClear hearing care to provide the best possible service for all our clients, and very much look forward to welcoming you at Hornchurch.
